Last Minute Branding Photoshoot Checklist
Preparing ahead of time will help your Raleigh branding photoshoot run smoothly and allow you to focus on showing up confidently on camera. Use this checklist in the days leading up to your session so you don’t feel stressed, and nothing gets forgotten.
A Few Days Before Your Branding Photoshoot
Take care of these details ahead of time so you’re not rushing the night before.
- Finalize your outfits and make sure everything fits well
- Try on each outfit together with shoes and accessories
- Steam or iron clothing so it looks polished on camera
- Gather all props you want included in the photos (remove cases and covers and wipe down the outside)
- Make sure your brand materials are ready (products, packaging, business cards, etc.)
- Charge laptops, phones, or tablets you plan to use as props
- Review your inspiration board or shot ideas
- Practice posing in front of a mirror
- Focus on skincare
- Prioritize sleep
- Skip alcohol in the days before
- Prep your space: remove clutter and add flowers or plants to brighten things up (more on this below)
What to Bring to Your Branding Photoshoot
- 3–5 outfit options
- Shoes that match each outfit
- Accessories (jewelry, belts, scarves, watches)
- Props related to your business (coffee mug, books, printed graphics to style the space)
- Laptop, phone, or tablet
- Notebook or planner
- Products you sell or use in your work
- Business cards or branded materials
- Lots of water, high energy (non messy) snacks
- Hype Playlist
- Lipstick or balm
Branding PhotoShoot Day!
- Don’t stress!
- Eat a light meal beforehand
- Double checkyour outfits and props
- Finish hair and makeup with plenty of time to get to your location (allow extra time for traffic or parking)
- Drink water so you stay energized
- Trust your photographer’s posing guidance, even when it feels crazy
- Relax your shoulders and breathe
- Take breaks between outfit changes, hydrate
- Focus on enjoying the process
- Be prepared to have fun, be silly and let go of any tension!
If Using your space (Office or Home)
- Tidy up and put away any distractions (cords, personal items, clutter)
- Style your space props and furnishings that compliment your brand
- Windows open, shades up
- Add flowers or greenery to bring in life and texture
