Glad to meet you!

SEASON MOORE OWNER AND PHOTOGRAPHER

My first job in photography was shooting yearbook photos and high school football games in Atlanta, Ga just after high school. While not fine art I learned the basics of film photography and developing, posing, and studio lighting. After moving to Raleigh and spending a few years in the corporate world I made the transition from film to digital photography and opened Season Moore Photography in 2005.

I love what I do as a photographer. My goal is not only a fun and stress free experience but I pride myself on being a vetted professional in this rapidly changing industry.

QUESTIONS

Updating your family portraits or professional photos can feel like a stressful endeavor but we are here to walk you through every step of the way. We will put you in touch with the best makeup artists and stylists, help you through the oh so stressful “what to wear” and guide you through posing. I promise, you are photogenic!

  1. Major Appearance Changes: When you undergo changes in your appearance (new hairstyle, color, or weight loss/gain, etc) it’s a good idea to update your headshot to match your current look. Your clients should be able to recognize you in a coffee shop from your photo.
  2. Career Milestones: Changing careers? Received a promotion? If you achieve career milestones, consider updating your headshot to reflect your professional growth and current role and to go along with social media posts announcing your change.
  3. Every 1-2 Years: Even if there are no significant changes, updating your headshot every 1-2 years can help ensure that your image is current and in line with the latest trends, styles and looks. Photos receive significantly more attention that text only posts.
  4. Brand Refresh: Changing you logo or restyling your office? Update your photos along with these updates to keep your branding fresh.
  5. New Professional Endeavors: When starting a new job, launching a business, or entering a new phase in your career, updating your headshot can give a fresh and relevant representation along with social media content

A cake smash photo session is a playful (and often messy!) photoshoot that involves a baby, toddler or young child celebrating their birthday. Initially only for babies turning one, we now photography children up to age 5 on a styled, themed set of your choosing.

While I love my little space NW Raleigh, it is not a large space. And if you know anything about real estate prices in the area at the moment, you understand why. It was important to me to have a studio setting where I can offer clients a stress free, rain free, summer-humidity-free space in a great location, but that comes along with a large rent that impacts pricing. So while the studio is great for headshots, babies, and kids family portraits are best shot outdoors.

The studio is “quaint” (aka, small!) It is not a large enough space to stage out to look like a gorgeous office space or downtown loft. I so wish it was! Studio photos will be shot on backdrops but can be digitally changed to look like an outdoor or office background in retouching. If your inspiration images all take place in an office space or outdoors, you will need to start brainstorming on a great location to shoot. Peerspace is a great place to start, also consider co-working offices or even your favorite coffee shop (or wine bar!). Many small businesses are open to using their space if you just reach out.

Headshots and Personal Branding

Make a Great First Impression

A great headshot image is the best way to market yourself in today’s competitive market. Customers are more driven by images than ever before and yet the average time spend on a website is 45 seconds – that’s not much time to make an impact.

Your portraits should communicate that
you take your career seriously but updating your professional portrait should not be stressful.

As a Raleigh small business owner for almost 20 years I am passionate about helping other entrepreneurs realize their goals. Visit NCheadshots.com to learn more about how my years of experience can help you market you.
