Another hot hot hot one – and this time, with mosquitoes!

Five kids unleashed on downtown Apex = a wild time! Mom and dad were so patient with me and my games despite the audience around us but I think it was worth it!
I had the opportunity to meet a new family this spring and photograph them at their new house (by the pool!). I love how four kids from the same family can be SO DIFFERENT. I spent a few hours with them and laughed so much, thanks for having me in your home!
Baby girl had grown up quite a bit since that newborn session not all that long ago. Time flies by parents, you’ve been warned!
It was so cold when we met for these family photos but when a deadline is ahead you just bundle up and head outside anyway. So we did (no children were harmed in the making of these photos, at least not much). The Harmon family is preparing to adopt a little boy from China and…
These are just some of my favorite people – I always look forward to our sessions and this was no exception. It was a bit of a change from our usual garden sessions to a more urban setting in Durham, NC but it fit so perfectly!
I love these guys and mom always has them dressed in unbelievably adorable clothes. Some that I kind of wish I had for myself, though I’m not sure I could pull off the looks like she does. I mean, I want those pink boots!
Was very excited to see how a little girl from this family of good looking boys. Safe to say the good looking genes aren’t saved only for the men of the bunch, watch out daddy!
Have I mentioned that it was cold this fall? Maybe not but let me say it again – IT WAS COLD! It’s a trick I use to get portraits of fast paced kids – I just…freeze them into place.
These guys were the raffle winners from our big Marbles Museum event last summer. They received a session and one of our new (maybe not so new now?) linen session albums. Why did I not take a photo of that album?!
