Another sweet baby to share and she is the little sister of a boy I have been photographing since his birth a few short years ago. He is blond haired and blue eyed so imagine my surprise to walk in and see a gorgeous head of dark hair! They could not look any more different but she is just as gorgeous as her big brother. A very, very lovely family!
Such a sweet little one to share today. An absolute joy to work with and very, very loved (that’s her great grandma there at the end!).

Lots of girls in 2013, I was ready for a little blue! The first little man of the year, he was a fantastic little model for me. His big brother and sister helped out, one newborn is easier than twins!
You see written again and again that newborn portraits are best within the first two weeks of life. And in general, this is a very good rule of thumb. Then, you have sessions like this one…4 weeks old and an absolute photographers dream!

Oh, the sweet little grin in the close up is to die for. I love the composition in your first image as well, the folds of the wrap along with the weave of the basket all radiate perfectly with the baby’s ‘pose.’
