Sneak peek! | Raleigh Family Photography

I have had the honor of watching this little guy grow up from a tiny little (gorgeous!) newborn to a sitter, to now a running toddler.  And with that running stage often comes another stage I like to call dear-God-get-that-woman-with-the-camera-away-from-me-itis.  It’s not a serious disorder and children usually will grow out of it without medical treatment but let me tell you, it makes for a thrilling ride for parents.  So I just followed his lead, played a little ball, mowed the sidewalk and tried to give him a little space - I’m guessing he passed out as soon as we were done!

So when I’m shooting a session I am keeping little mental notes about where we have shot, what type of photos I have gotten, how many of each child, lighting, background, etc etc.  So I know at about what point we have gotten a good variety and can wrap the session.  Shooting past that point means having more proofs to choose from, which also means an even harder time for the parents placing their order.  Plus the shorter time we spend in the session the less stress it is on the kids and the more fun they have and ultimately that is always my goal.  So, all this is said to bring me to this point - sometimes there happen to be sessions with very, very cute little girls in very, very cute little outfits that are just a joy to work with and continue to give me great shot after great shot and I don’t stop.  I overshoot.  And I overshoot bad.  And now I am over posting to the blog because I have gotten myself into this mess and I feel the need to share it.  So Mom and Dad I have way too many gorgeous images of your girls here, if there can ever be such a thing!

Sneak Peek! | Raleigh Child and Baby Portraits

It’s been busy busy around here as we move into summer!  The blog has fallen to the back burner with back to back sessions, travel, Victory Junction Camp and Flashes of Hope and of course just plain summer but I hope to get caught up a bit this week!

We will start off with a sweet brother and sister pair in Raleigh, absolute cuteness!  Yes the weather was a bit on the warm side but they took it all in stride and we have a huge gallery to show for it!

Sneak Peek | Raleigh Children’s Portraits

I just love this family, I always know we’ll have a great time.  The kids have grown so much since I saw them last and each had their own ideas about where/how/when we should do their pictures so the end result are totally different looks for each one.  Such a fun morning and I am looking forward to the fall when they add one more to the mix!

Sneak Peek | Raleigh Childrens Photographer

Just had to get these cuties up on the blog before the long weekend!  We showed up to the garden to find maintenance men repairing and painting a building and a slight mosquito problem but hey some loud noises, fumes and few bites didn’t deter us!  The kids were all smiles and we had a great time.  Nice meeting you all!

Sneak Peek | North Carolina Newborn Photographer

This sweet little surprised us by coming a little early and then the weather surprised us by being a little yucky so her session was pushed back later than we had planned.  That said, she was an absolute joy to work with and barely let out a peek the entire time I was there.  Thank you Mom and Dad for sharing your precious girl with me for a day!

I haven’t seen this family in some time so it was a little bit of a shock to see their “baby boy” transformed into a big kid and an adorable little sister added to the mix!  We had a great time on this very warm morning, so great to see you again!
