Paper free!

Where have I been, I know there are several clients waiting for peeks and wondering that same thing!  I have been working (late into the night) to get several projects wrapped up - one being an updated shopping cart with several new products and options and new collections including the Cypress albums.  I also completed my new client sites which I am so excited about.   I loved my adorable client books that I have been mailing out for years now but in an effort to use less paper and resources the new sites were born.   But they are super cool and I think will be very helpful for clients - they walk you through every step of the process  and include every bit of important information and links you will need.  If you have a session coming up booked before this week and would like your own personalized site drop me a line.  I think you’ll like it!

Back to the pictures!  Sneaks coming up SOON!  If you’re waiting for a gallery they should be up in the next day or two!

More new products - Gallery Mount prints!

Another goodie that I have been working on! Also beginning August 1st Gallery Mount prints will be available. To create a Gallery Mount, a photograph is completely sealed with a durable, transparent semi-gloss laminate and heat-fused to a 3/4” backing with a white or black ready to hang beveled edge. This a finished piece, another ready to hang option. A digital mat can be added for additional impact. I’m loving these!

Gorgeous new product!

I am so thrilled to start offering Cypress products beginning August 1st. These are absolutely stunning, handmade pieces and clients will be able to customize them to their liking. I will be offering a few different products including the Artisan Book (take a look at that gorgeous thing!). Anyone that knows me knows that I do not take offering a new product to my clients lightly. I spend way more time than any human should researching the available products, the company that makes them and what impact offering the new products will have. In the end I feel great not only about the albums but the company itself. I will have photos to share soon, but in the meantime here is a statement from Cypress about the company.

Our albums are built to last for many generations to enjoy, so it goes hand-in-hand that we value the preservation of our earth for future generations to come. Here at Cypress, we are people, animal, and earth friendly.
Our Products & Our Company:

*We do not use or sell any animal products.
*We use only non-toxic, archival glue.
*Our binders board (used in the construction of album covers, boxes, and folios) is made from 100% recycled content.
*Our products are made in the USA, handcrafted by artisans who receive fair wages.
*We reuse and recycle everything possible, from paper and fabric scraps to shipping boxes to cans/bottles in our lunchroom.
*Our office, kitchen, and restroom paper products are made from recycled content.
*We are working to reduce our carbon footprint by saving electricity through the use of efficient long-lasting fluorescent lighting and reminders on all of our light switches to conserve energy.

Our Album Pages are…

*Acid-free, which keeps your photos in a PH-neutral, archival environment.
*Tree-free, made from 100% cotton linters, which are a waste byproduct of the textile industry.
*Chlorine bleach-free, keeping harmful chemicals out of our homes, not to mention our water sources.
*Sourced from environmentally conscious suppliers. Our mat board and paper are made at a mill that generates its own hydroelectric power. They use their own water source to create the energy they use, thereby preserving the public source.

Be Inspired!

This isn’t new to clients that have had sessions over the last few weeks but I haven’t shared it to the public yet.  I am now including a copy of my Inspire Guide with your session.  It’s a planning guide to help with the sometimes daunting task of choosing how to best display your portraits.  It has 36 (!!) wall gallery examples, a product detail page and reference page for jotting down your notes, favorite images, wall measurements, etc and a few ideas for organizing it all.  I’m very excited that it has (finally) come together!

Fishing for Fun!

I am back in town and getting set back up - literally as we packed my entire office for the trip to Atlanta.  Although I was working all week somehow I am much less productive when I am out of my environment so I still have tons to catch up on.  I am about half way through the emails now!

When I returned I found the newest issue of Premier Baby Magazine at my door and it looks fab!   You can see my images throughout, a few articles and ads and also a spread on a killer birthday I photographed early this year.  It was themed “Fishing For Fun” and was over the top adorable.   I have included a few of the photos  from the article and you can of course see them all in the magazine (available at local boutiques and doctor offices and I will have them with me at sessions).  Also, if your child is in my ad and you would like a copy, let me know!

The invitation was adorable:

Schedule Update

I will be working in Atlanta July 7-11th so if you happen to be reading from that neck of the woods and would like a session, drop me a line! I will be responding to email as normal.

I have one remaining session date for July and two left in August. The fall is beginning to fill as well so please don’t delay if you are planning a holiday session. And I promise to be sharing my new goodies soon - I am so excited to offer some new products that you are gonna LOVE!

4th of July at Haywood Hall

I just heard from Sheryl at Haywood Hall about their 4th of July event so I thought I’d share!  The folks at Haywood are so kind to let me use their beautiful grounds for many of my sessions.  It’s just a block or so from the Capital and Marbles Kid’s Museum and many other great places to take the kiddos on the 4th (and their celebration is geared towards KIDS as well!).
