Sneak Peek and some updates!

Well hello there!  I have undeniably fallen behind on the blog!  Things are very hectic here these days - wrapping up summer and looking ahead at a very full fall calendar.  I am shooting so much that time in the office is very limited - meaning emails fall embarrassingly behind and the blog just gets ignored all together.  But I so appreciate all of the kind comments you all leave - it makes me smile on even the craziest of days!  So first the updates:

August,  September and November (before my holiday deadline) are fully booked.  Thank you!  There are some remaining October dates, please contact me soon if you would like to book before the holidays and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Mini-sessions! Did that get your attention?!  I am getting tons, and I mean TONS of emails asking if I will be offering holiday mini sessions this year.  The answer is…I dunno!  Location is my biggest hangup - finding a lovely outdoor spot where we can set up camp all day can be tricky.  So, if you happen to have a beautiful yard or porch or field or other lovely spot and you wouldn’t mind sharing it with some of your newest friends in exchange of a mini session of your own (hint hint) drop me a note soon. This is open to new or current clients.  Tell your friends with the gorgeous to look here!  I will need to finalize these plans very quickly to give folks enough time to plan so email me today!

And now, on to the peek!  This sweet family managed to pick an August date and somehow end up with down right lovely weather.  I wasn’t sweaty through and through, the kid’s hair wasn’t soaked - it was wonderful!  And the result was just way too many proofs - sorry in advance J!

Let’s talk Christmas

Oh yeah, I’m talking Christmas.  Two reasons … a) I have my 2008 holiday cards here and they are fab and b) I am getting closed to booked through my holiday deadline.  It never fails that I have to turn people down in the fall when they try to book and there is just no time and let me tell you, I hate that!!  So please contact me soon to get your spot.  My holiday deadline is early November so I can guarantee your prints/cards in time for the holidays.  Because everything is custom, last minute sessions are just not an option.  My latest availability is:

August - two session dates remain
September - ONE session date remains
October - Four session dates remain
November - booked for holiday delivery (November and December sessions after the deadline will be extremely limited)

So this is IT, including 2009 Seniors trying to get their fall sessions in.  And if you are expecting please contact me ASAP so I can allow time to be available for your new arrival.  So no pressure…ok, maybe just a little pressure!

And now to the cards - I have two sets, classic and holly jolly.  Love them!

Casting Call!

I have a few new projects going on that need some models! This is not limited to models (although it’s ok if you are one!) but I am looking for a variety of kids ages 15-18 so if you ever wanted to be a model for a day, this is your time to shine! In the next few weeks I will be looking for different age groups and may have some more specific requests, but for now I need guys and girls in that age range of every different look, style and personality possible. We will be shooting in the next WEEK so you will need to be somewhat flexible with your schedule. I will give you more detailed information if you are selected for this round of shots. Very limited availability so don’t delay!

What do you get? Free pictures, that’s what! I plan on shooting about 20 or so shots of each teen although the final number will vary. I will include two 5×7s and a set of wallets of your favorite shots (and if you would like to order more you are more than welcome to).

So tell your friends! Send me an email with your name, age, city, and school you attend along with a snapshot of yourself. If you are under 18 have your parents send me that email. These photos may be used in print and on the web so a signed release will be required.

Slideshows are down

Just a quick note that somehow, some way every slide show has been corrupt on my server. So if you’re trying to view yours and it’s not coming up please give me some time to re create them. My husband and I celebrate our 9th anniversary today and the baby sitter is on her way but I am vowing to get these puppies back up before I leave.

Thank you for your patience!

Paper free!

Where have I been, I know there are several clients waiting for peeks and wondering that same thing!  I have been working (late into the night) to get several projects wrapped up - one being an updated shopping cart with several new products and options and new collections including the Cypress albums.  I also completed my new client sites which I am so excited about.   I loved my adorable client books that I have been mailing out for years now but in an effort to use less paper and resources the new sites were born.   But they are super cool and I think will be very helpful for clients - they walk you through every step of the process  and include every bit of important information and links you will need.  If you have a session coming up booked before this week and would like your own personalized site drop me a line.  I think you’ll like it!

Back to the pictures!  Sneaks coming up SOON!  If you’re waiting for a gallery they should be up in the next day or two!

More new products - Gallery Mount prints!

Another goodie that I have been working on! Also beginning August 1st Gallery Mount prints will be available. To create a Gallery Mount, a photograph is completely sealed with a durable, transparent semi-gloss laminate and heat-fused to a 3/4” backing with a white or black ready to hang beveled edge. This a finished piece, another ready to hang option. A digital mat can be added for additional impact. I’m loving these!

Gorgeous new product!

I am so thrilled to start offering Cypress products beginning August 1st. These are absolutely stunning, handmade pieces and clients will be able to customize them to their liking. I will be offering a few different products including the Artisan Book (take a look at that gorgeous thing!). Anyone that knows me knows that I do not take offering a new product to my clients lightly. I spend way more time than any human should researching the available products, the company that makes them and what impact offering the new products will have. In the end I feel great not only about the albums but the company itself. I will have photos to share soon, but in the meantime here is a statement from Cypress about the company.

Our albums are built to last for many generations to enjoy, so it goes hand-in-hand that we value the preservation of our earth for future generations to come. Here at Cypress, we are people, animal, and earth friendly.
