Sneek Peek! | Cary Baby Photographer

This sweet little man was 7 weeks old on the day we met which falls into that “in between” stage, photography speaking.  They are alert and very aware of the woman messing with them when all they want to do is stay snuggled in Momma’s arms.  He was even gracious enough to give us a little sound sleep in the mix.  Such a sweet boy!

Sneak Peek | Durham Newborn Baby Photographer

This sweet little guy surprised his parents by showing up early and a full schedule and a forecast calling for storms had us sweating a little bit about the timeline.  But the day of the session turned out to be a gorgeously clear day, not a storm in site until well after we were finished.  And he was an absolute dream to work with, just as sweet and cuddly as can be.  He got his newborn portraits mom and they are gorgeous!

Sneak Peek | Wake Forest Baby and Family Photographer

I don’t even need to say it but, LOOK HOW CUTE THIS BABY IS!  It was actually a little hard to work smiling as big as I was the entire time - those big eyes and TONS of personality.  I pretty much just wanted to cuddle on him the entire time (and I think I worked a fair amount of snuggling in).  Such a baby doll!

Sneak peek! | Raleigh Family Photography

I have had the honor of watching this little guy grow up from a tiny little (gorgeous!) newborn to a sitter, to now a running toddler.  And with that running stage often comes another stage I like to call dear-God-get-that-woman-with-the-camera-away-from-me-itis.  It’s not a serious disorder and children usually will grow out of it without medical treatment but let me tell you, it makes for a thrilling ride for parents.  So I just followed his lead, played a little ball, mowed the sidewalk and tried to give him a little space - I’m guessing he passed out as soon as we were done!

Sneak Peek | Durham Children’s Photographer

So when I’m shooting a session I am keeping little mental notes about where we have shot, what type of photos I have gotten, how many of each child, lighting, background, etc etc.  So I know at about what point we have gotten a good variety and can wrap the session.  Shooting past that point means having more proofs to choose from, which also means an even harder time for the parents placing their order.  Plus the shorter time we spend in the session the less stress it is on the kids and the more fun they have and ultimately that is always my goal.  So, all this is said to bring me to this point - sometimes there happen to be sessions with very, very cute little girls in very, very cute little outfits that are just a joy to work with and continue to give me great shot after great shot and I don’t stop.  I overshoot.  And I overshoot bad.  And now I am over posting to the blog because I have gotten myself into this mess and I feel the need to share it.  So Mom and Dad I have way too many gorgeous images of your girls here, if there can ever be such a thing!

Summer Scheduling | Mini sessions and full sessions

I just feel like I am so far behind and I apologize for not keeping everyone more up to date on scheduling.  I am going to try to lay out the availability for the rest of the summer, including mini sessions (TWO dates this summer!) and keep everyone informed of any changes.  YES we do keep right on shooting through the heat - shooting in the morning and staying in the shade we avoid the heat of the day and generally the only one that is sweaty and nasty is me (that camera strap around the neck really just drives the body temperature right up!).  And yes it’s hot, but as far as I am concerned it’s so much better than freezing!

myers040Summer Mini Sessions - $50

Because it has been 100 degrees this June and I’m guessing July isn’t going to be any cooler I have decided to offer two mini session dates and only shoot morning sessions for those dates.  Frankly, even in the shade no one needs to have their kids out at 2 pm being photographed.  The new info is below:

Wednesday July 14 - (Rain date of July 16th) - Three spots remaining

Monday July 26th - (Rain date of July 28th) - Three spots remaining

Session Includes:
- 20-25 minute session for up to 2 children or one immediate family
- 5-10 images presented in a private online gallery
- Three day online ordering and custom product design period

All Season Moore Photography products will be available for purchase and I will design custom wall galleries.  These sessions are booked back to back so if you are late, you will only have the remaining time to complete your session. The session fee is non refundable and can only be rescheduled for the next mini session date.  So please be sure both dates work for you!

Due to the time restrictions on these minis we will focus on a particular shot - family shots, individuals of two children or less, sibling shots, etc. If we have time after we have gotten that shot, we will try for others. Mini sessions are not suitable for babies that are not able to sit unassisted or those looking for a variety of poses or multiple backgrounds or outfits. Mini sessions are suitable for those that have already had a full session but need just a few updated shots or for capturing a special time in your child’s life (First lost tooth? Favorite dress up outfit? Just because they are so darn cute today?)

Summer Full Sessions

July: Two session dates are remaining.  Please contacting me asap if you are expecting and need to get a newborn session scheduled.
August:  Six session dates remaining.

As always thank you so much for keeping me so busy!  I love my clients!

Sneak Peek! | Raleigh Child and Baby Portraits

It’s been busy busy around here as we move into summer!  The blog has fallen to the back burner with back to back sessions, travel, Victory Junction Camp and Flashes of Hope and of course just plain summer but I hope to get caught up a bit this week!

We will start off with a sweet brother and sister pair in Raleigh, absolute cuteness!  Yes the weather was a bit on the warm side but they took it all in stride and we have a huge gallery to show for it!
