Did I mention Etsy?

Another great place to shop for session outfits and adorable knitted hats for newborns and babies is Etsy.com. It’s a site where people sell their handmade items. If you have a favorite Etsy seller (or id YOU are a seller and want some props) be sure to share!

Be Inspired!

This isn’t new to clients that have had sessions over the last few weeks but I haven’t shared it to the public yet.  I am now including a copy of my Inspire Guide with your session.  It’s a planning guide to help with the sometimes daunting task of choosing how to best display your portraits.  It has 36 (!!) wall gallery examples, a product detail page and reference page for jotting down your notes, favorite images, wall measurements, etc and a few ideas for organizing it all.  I’m very excited that it has (finally) come together!

Share your favorites kid’s clothing stores!

I would love to know your favorite online (or local) kid’s clothing shops/brands.  I am always looking for fun, funky new places browse (and of course find the perfect session outfit) and I want to keep a list going on the blog because I know sometimes folks struggle with the “what to wear”.  A few off the top of my head:

For boys- SO cute: Knuckleheads
Boden

Oilily
Zaza Couture
Urban Runway

Have any favs you’re willing to share?

Fishing for Fun!

I am back in town and getting set back up - literally as we packed my entire office for the trip to Atlanta.  Although I was working all week somehow I am much less productive when I am out of my environment so I still have tons to catch up on.  I am about half way through the emails now!

When I returned I found the newest issue of Premier Baby Magazine at my door and it looks fab!   You can see my images throughout, a few articles and ads and also a spread on a killer birthday I photographed early this year.  It was themed “Fishing For Fun” and was over the top adorable.   I have included a few of the photos  from the article and you can of course see them all in the magazine (available at local boutiques and doctor offices and I will have them with me at sessions).  Also, if your child is in my ad and you would like a copy, let me know!

The invitation was adorable:

The goodie boxes (aka tackle boxes!)

Just too cute

I didn’t post this photo as part of the family’s sneak peek because I actually didn’t catch it during my first run through of the session. I have photographed these kiddos several times over the last two years so they know what I am all about. I love that the first shot I took of this little sweetie she was taking a picture of me!

Sneak Peek

Before my peek I wanted to note that I am working in Atlanta this week so I won’t be at my office phone, but I will checking email and voice mail as normal.  Now, on to the good stuff - this little guy was SO HAPPY!  He was adorable and charming and his parents weren’t half bad either ;-)  so in the end I had waaay more photos then I generally have after a session.  This means a hard job for me narrowing them down!

Sneak Peek!

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July! We have had family in town and had a great time together. I had intended to post a big hello on the 4th but when the storms moved in we lost power - and it was out until about 4am. Nothing like hosting when you’re in the dark!

So, chatter aside - how about a peek?! This family lives in an adorable neighborhood where everyone’s yard looks like a garden. It’s a photographer’s dream! Of course you know a super cute family doesn’t hurt either. Enjoy!
