Triangle Battle of the Bands

Get a sitter and come out next Saturday night (May 24th) for the Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands! Corporate bands will take the stage to battle it out for a good cause, The Center for Child & Family Health (CCFH) and their mission to ensure that all children in North Carolina grow up in a healthy, nurturing environment free of trauma and abuse. My sweet and talented hubby will be playing bass for Cisco’s band, The Platform.

So much personality in that little body!

I can not even tell you how much fun I had at this session!  I last saw sweet A when she was just a few days old and now it’s almost exactly a year later and she is a firecracker!  I don’t know that a one year old has ever cracked me up this much.  She spent the entire time smiling, but even more than that she did her best to keep US smiling.  If you have had a session with me you know I like to try and keep everyone laughing but in this case, she made my job easy!  So much fun!

Holiday Sessions

Oh yeah, it’s time to start thinking about those holiday sessions! Why now? Well, holiday sessions take place August-October and after opening my September calendar for 3 days and calling my wait list it is already half filled. This is by far the busiest time of the year so please don’t delay if you want a fall session. It is my absolute favorite time of year for sessions - and a “holiday” session with me doesn’t mean Santa hats and personalized sweaters (please!) but it just means a session that you would like to order from in time to give as gifts or use as holiday cards.

Holiday 2008 Deadlines

  • Last day for reorders from past sessions: October 10, 2008
  • Last holiday session date: November 7, 2008
  • Last day for card orders: November 14, 2008
  • Last day for print orders: December 24, 2008

We will be closed November 25-30 and December 19 - January 5, 2008. November and December sessions will be limited. Updated availability page is here. Ho ho ho!

Watching them grow

This was the 4th time I had the opportunity to photograph these adorable kiddos.  Well it started with only one, a shy toddler who wasn’t sure what to make of me.  But he’s gotten bigger and was ready to PLAY and that little newborn girl is now a year old.  I just don’t think I will ever get over how fast these babies grow up, and it makes me even happier to be doing the job I am doing.   Time flies when you’re having fun! (Or, when you’re sleep deprived, right Moms?!)

A few open spots

Just a quick note to let you know that I have two dates open for the Month of May.  June is booked, July has dates available after the 14th.  If you would like a session before mid-late July please contact me as soon as possible (one of the May dates is this week!).

If you are pregnant and expecting in the next few months send me a note soon because dates are getting very limited.  I always try to work in newborns but it’s getting to the point where there just may not be the time.  So don’t delay, the newborn time frame goes by so fast!

Celebrating again

I will be out of the office this weekend as we celebrate my son’s 6th birthday and then of course, Mother’s Day. I will be checking in from time to time but won’t be answering emails regularly.

But before I go, just in case you were worried that I may run out of cuteness…

And I had to add this one for Mom - our session was dictated by what accessories she wanted to use at the time. A girl after my own heart!

I am off to frost 48 cupcakes with ocean blue icing and white chocolate shark fins. Have a very very happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mommies out there!
