A project for me

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

I like to try new recipes and it takes alot for me to make a recipe more than once.  I have to really, really love it.  But I don’t do a very good job of keeping track of the recipes that I do love, so my next project is a cookbook!  I have started working on a book at TasteBook.com.  When I make a recipe I really like I will copy it there, and in the end have a cookbook that I will actually use.  Let’s see if I can manage to keep up with this project!

Well, hello!

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

If you’re reading this, than that means you survived yet another Christmas morning!  I hope it was magical and perfect!  We had folks coming and going for days, the house was in chaos and the floor stayed filthy no matter how hard Roomba and I tried to keep it clean.  The kids ran around like wild animals and we went through a massive amount of food feeding guests but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  The bedlam is good for the soul, and we’re looking forward to round two for New Year’s Eve!

My hubby is recovering well from surgery.  Thank you so much for the sweet wishes and prayers.  The surgery went well and it looks like they repaired all the damage.  We’re through the rough part and the hard part now is being laid up (literally, he can’t sit so he can either lay or stand!) through the holidays.  He’s been stuck in the house for so long, I know he’s ready to tear out of here!  Of course we’re all sick here now, but that’s a family tradition.  Usually we’re sick ON Christmas so this is a treat.  If it manages to stay fever and chills and not progress to anything worse, I claim victory!

Ok, on to the fun stuff - what’s new for 2008??  Well, not anything I am ready to share just yet but there will be big changes to my online appearance, some contests, some new goodies, and probably a sale or two…  Keep your eyes peeled for more!

2007 Slideshow

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

As I wrap up 2007 I have been going through client photos with fond memories.  I have met so many incredible, beautiful people.  I can never thank you enough for allowing me into your life to document these precious, fleeting moments.   I am so fortunate to have the job that I do, and I am forever grateful.

I will be closed until January 4th.  I may pop onto the blog every now and then but in the meantime, I put together a little holiday slideshow for your viewing pleasure.  I can’t possibly share every one of my favorites from the year or even one from every session in a single slideshow, but here are a few that made me smile.

2007 Holiday Slideshow

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I will see you in 2008!

(Side note - I think some people are having trouble getting the flash slideshow to load.  Try refreshing if it hangs up on the buffer stage.  If you can’t get it to load after several tries, PLEASE email/post and let me know!)

Availability Update

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Tomorrow my sweet hubby is having back surgery.  He has quite a bit of recovery ahead of him so my work schedule will be limited over the next few days and weeks.  We would appreciate your prayers!

I have one remaining weekday session in January, 2008.  I have several February weekday dates available as well.  I will be working on some changes for 2008, as tired as I am this time of year I always get a little excited (and inspired) to start off the next year of my business life.

I’ll post again when I have a second to update!

I’m on Facebook!

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

I’ll admit I waste tooo much time on Facebook, I can’t help myself.  But I found a new way to waste time there today, creating a business page!   I’m not sure what I will do with it yet, but I’m sure I’ll be playing there soon.  Come see me!!

Email backlog

Friday, December 7th, 2007

I know there are folks waiting on replies from me and I apologize for the delay - I have so many urgent deadline things that have to happen, emails tend to be the last thing I get to.  My last orders have been placed (as of tonight!) and I will be wrapping up loads of year end things as the weeks go on.  As I do I will try and pull from sessions that never were featured on the blog, hopefully I won’t duplicate.  This was from the summer:
