For one of my favorite Mommas:

Well I have been meaning to say hello after the Thanksgiving break but somehow that got missed! So, hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family - we were with both sets of family and at the beach; really, can you ask for anything better than that? It was a nice to recharge since I stepped right back into holiday rush madness as soon as I got home. Both at home and at work! Little piece of admin - all orders that are going to be returned by Christmas need to be placed by this Saturday. I know I have been scarce with the photos lately so I will try and make up for that when I am doing all my yearly wrap up stuff. I still have a few sessions after to shoot before my holiday break. We’re getting there!
Oh and here’s one for mom: baby + freezing temps with horrible wind =

Poor baby!
I am closing up shop tomorrow and will be offline through Sunday, November 25th. Have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones, and take this chance to tell each and everyone of them just how thankful you are that they are in your life. And of course, good eats to everyone!!

Just a reminder that tonight is the concert with Christa Wells (the artist that plays on my site). Here is the information from my last post. I hope to see you there!
If
you just love that song that plays on my site, My Best Remedy (and I
know you do because I get emails about it constantly!), you can hear is
live here in Raleigh in a few weeks! Christa Wells
is the beautiful artist behind that song and she and her sister Mandy
Rogers (and my handsome hubby playing bass, of course) will be
performing at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Christa Wells is a Dove
Award winning songwriter with amazing vocals as well - you will not be
disappointed. So mark your calendars! Here’s the skinny:
Send me a note if you have any questions, we would love to have
you! And let me know if you are going to be there so I can try to say
hello!
I have donated a session and mounted print to the Bethesda Christian Academy silent auction this Friday night, November 16th. The auction takes place at the Grove Park Chapel on Sherron Road. They have an amazing list of items up for auction. If you’re in the area stop by to win!
We’re just cranking through the holidays, I am just finishing up my remaining few sessions before the Thanksgiving break. A little update on my upcoming schedule - December is going to be very limited, even for newborns. I am taking time off to care for my husband who is having back surgery. So please contact me as soon as possible if you are expecting. January is going to be just as limited if not moreso - more info on that as we get closer. So the bottom line is don’t delay! Remember that newborn portraits should really take place as soon after birth as possible.
And a little leafy peak for you!

I drove down to Elizabethtown, NC today and met the cutest set of siblings. They were so much fun and full of life. Within seconds of meeting them they were in my lap, one even kissed me. They were more than happy to pose for me….

:-D Ok, as cute as they are they were NOT the cutest thing I got to photograph today. This little doll was the real star!

More to come!
